Veteran Bathroom Remodeling and VA Grants in Florida

Special pricing for veterans on a safer, easier bathroom.

Thank you for your service. We offer special pricing for veterans on a safer, easier bathroom. Mention it when you book your design visit and we will include it in your written quote.

Many veterans want a bathroom that is easier to use every day. We replace just the tub or the shower with a walk-in shower, a tub-to-shower conversion or a walk-in tub, with grab bars and a built-in seat where you need them. Most jobs take as little as one day.

The VA has programs that can help pay for changes to a veteran's home. The one most people ask about is HISA, Home Improvements and Structural Alterations, which runs through VA health care. It helps pay for medically necessary changes, and VA lists roll-in showers among its bathroom examples. It is a lifetime benefit, and the amount depends on whether the disability is service-connected. VA also lists what HISA does not pay for, including spa, hot tub and Jacuzzi-type tubs.

A HISA application goes through your local VA Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service. VA asks for a prescription from a VA physician, VA Form 10-0103, a written itemized estimate for the work and a color photo of the area before the change. If you are applying, tell your designer at the visit what VA has asked you for.

Veterans with certain severe service-connected disabilities may also qualify for VA's Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) or Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grants, which help buy, build or change a home. Those go through VA benefits. In every case VA decides who qualifies and how much, so we never promise coverage.

Installation is done mainly by our own crews, so one company answers for the work. Every job comes with a lifetime warranty on the product and the workmanship, and we activate it the day the job is done.

We serve veterans in 36 Florida communities, from Tampa Bay and Orlando to Jacksonville, the Space Coast and Southwest Florida.

We are very happy with our new shower. *** was the lone installer and was very easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable and helpful in keeping us appraised of progress. We felt very comfortable with him . The job looks great and the worksite looked better when he left than when he arrived. Very pleased and anxious to use our new shower
